Coordinating and planning weddings never gets old! I'm a hopeless romantic, and when the music starts and the bride starts walking down the aisle, it's my favorite and the sweetest moment to witness. The organizational side of the job is also great, it's what I'm good at, but what I truly love to do is take care of people, be of service and bring people together. It brings me joy. Clients always compliment me for my calm demeanor and those closest to me will jokingly lament about my extreme organizing - I'd say it's the perfect skillset for a coordinator!

Wondering who the "Oliver" is in Melanie Oliver Events? He's my papa. I was a Daddy's girl - always will be. Having his name there reminds me every day that he's with me.

When she's not coordinating weddings, you'll likely find Leilani in the outdoors. She loves the desert, camping, and  spending time with her kiddos.

Lead Designer

With an artistic eye for just about everything, styling weddings is just one of her many creative outlets. Mettja's ability to conceptualize a design makes her a great designer, but it's her ability to listen to the client and then bring it to life that makes her invaluable. Like she did with Homegrown Maps, an Encinitas based company that she co-founded with her husband with products that can now be found in SoCal West Elm stores. When she's not designing weddings, she can be found doing something crafty of-course, or enjoying the outdoors camping and hiking.
